It is disturbing to know that our Florida
lawmakers and governor can collect millions of
dollars and donate it to private companies, yet are
unable or unwilling to coming up with the money
needed to address the most basic needs of our
taxpayers.
- Corporate Welfare programs tax the poor to feed
the rich.
- Billions are being spent helping big businesses
grow stronger.
- You are working hard so they can make more for
less.
Here are a few examples:

Altamonte Springs handouts.

* Corporate Welfare:
A government's bestowal of grants and/or tax breaks
on one or more corporations or other "special
favorable treatment" from the government. Usually
these actions are seen to be at the expense of the
citizens, although in the case of "wealthfare"
unevenly distributed to different corporations, they
might be seen as at the expense of other corporations
as well.
It is any government spending program
that provides unique benefits or advantages to
specific companies or industries, to the detriment of
competing companies. Government often touts corporate
welfare as “economic development” or
“increased employment”. But when it
causes competing companies to lay off employees or go
out of business, employment is not increased, and the
lack of competition encourages prices to increase.
And you are paying for it.
